Porn Talk

One of the promises was a highly effective search engine. This is extremely useful on a DVD archive, especially one with so many movies. We discovered that it was indeed thorough. The major tabs are female type, attributes, scene type, light action, hard action, fetish action, and male action. Under each tab are even more categories relevant to its header. For example, female type include physical attributes, including race and/or nationality. The database is phenomenal in every way.

An interesting thing about American Vice is how they actually write reviews of each scene as well as DVD on the site. Not just descriptions - reviews. This allows you to skim through the scenes that aren't worth watching and just as importantly find the great scenes that you may have overlooked at first glance.

Like other video on demand websites, AmericanVice.com exclusively offers DVDs. These can be streamed or downloaded. It's impossible to list all of the content available. Attempting to do that would require nearly an entire essay. I'd rather enjoy the wide range of content myself than write a term paper on what is offered. I will just say that any surfer that likes movies is almost one-hundred percent guaranteed to find something that's more than arousing. Having a broadband connection helps because it will properly utilize the full potential of the varied and sexy material.

Tech Talk

The pictures are thumbnails for the individual scenes and full-length DVDs. Each scene has thumbnails. These are 646x360px. People can additionally view the high-resolution covers for each movie should they wish to learn more about it. These images are 898x578px.

As stated in the Porn Talk, movies can be streamed in Flash Player or downloaded as MP4s. The streams are 548x410px. The DVD-quality movies are 720x480px and run at 1.54Mbps. The computer-quality movies are 720x480px and run at 1.54Mbps. The portable-quality MP4s 480x320px are and run at 1.54Mbps.

Another utilitarian touch is the "Play Sample" feature. These snippets are one-minute in length and nicely preview their respective DVDs. Being able to see a movie's general premise allows surfers to use their tokens wisely and therefore nets the website usability points.

I mention tokens since that is one of the two payment options. You can either get a regular monthly membership with unlimited access to the content or you can purchase tokens and use them as you like without a time limit.

Small Talk and Personal Opinion

To illustrate how wide the content selction on AmericanVice is, I found three pages of content under the keyword "goth". In fact, I found an entire studio named Gothic, which featured a lot of fetish material. There were even three DVDs under the tag "vampire". I reveled in ecstasy. Surfers interested in dark sexuality will be as pleased as me.

Of course, there is more mainstream content, which is good. It is nice to see a website that accurately reflects the population without excluding people into unconventional sexuality or models. Like I stated in Porn Talk, the extremely navigable database makes finding desired content a breeze. Want to see double penetration? Hover the mouse pointer over "Hard Action" and select "Double Penetration". Need to watch some bisexual men? Find "BiSexual" underneath "Male Action". Interested in big tits or tattoos? "Attributes" is the place to look.

I am just thrilled with not just the amount of content offered, but the sheer variety. Surfers will agree, no matter what niche they prefer, because almost everything in the pornographic world is represented.
